Heather & Jason’s Unforgettable Aspen Wedding – A Day of Sunshine, Skiing, and Stunning Views

There are weddings, and then there are Aspen weddings. Heather and Jason’s big day was the perfect mix of elegance, adventure, and pure fun—exactly what you’d hope for when getting married in the mountains. The day started at the stunning MOLLIE Aspen, a modern, beautifully designed boutique hotel that, fun fact, had never hosted a wedding before! For a first, they absolutely nailed it. This venue was the perfect intimate setting for both the ceremony and reception, giving Heather and Jason a cozy, stylish space to celebrate with their closest friends and family who traveled in from Kentucky and Chicago.

Before the vows, though, these two did something truly unforgettable. They took a gondola ride up Aspen Mountain for their first look, and instead of just taking portraits up there, they took it to the next level—literally—by skiing down the mountain in full wedding attire! Heather carving down the slopes with her wedding gown train flowing behind her was hands down one of the most epic things I’ve ever filmed as a wedding videographer. Jason, looking sharp in his suit, was right there beside her, making it a moment that felt straight out of a movie. Wedding videography is all about capturing the real essence of a couple, and this was so them—adventurous, fun, and completely in the moment.

Back at MOLLIE Aspen, the ceremony was nothing short of magical. Janie Lemon of J Lemon Events planned everything to perfection, making sure Heather and Jason could fully enjoy their day without a single worry. The night carried on with heartfelt toasts, an absolutely packed dance floor thanks to DJ Naka G, and an atmosphere that felt electric with love and celebration. Seeing the way their family and friends came together made the whole day even more special. I feel so lucky to have been there to capture it all, from the breathtaking ski shots to the intimate, joy-filled moments at MOLLIE Aspen. If this is what weddings here are going to be like, I can’t wait for the next one!
