Smith Cabin | Aspen, CO | Clemmie + Tucker Wedding | Summit Photo & Film
Clemmie and Tucker’s wedding at Smith Cabin was truly something special. Tucked away in the backcountry of Aspen, Colorado, Smith Cabin is a hidden gem, offering a perfect mix of rustic charm and breathtaking views. Sitting at 11,300 feet on the backside of Aspen Mountain, it overlooks the vast wilderness of the Maroon Bells Snowmass area, making it an unforgettable setting for an intimate wedding. With less than 20 guests, the whole day felt incredibly personal—just close family, best friends, and the stunning mountain backdrop. As a wedding photographer, it’s the kind of place that makes capturing love stories even more meaningful.
The wedding took place in August, and the weather couldn’t have been more perfect. Clemmie got ready inside the cozy cabin with her mother and closest friends, surrounded by the warm, inviting atmosphere of the wood-paneled interior. It was one of those quiet, sentimental moments where laughter mixed with happy tears as she slipped into her dress. With the sun shining and a light breeze rolling through the trees, the ceremony felt effortless—just two people completely present in their vows, surrounded by the wild beauty of the Colorado mountains.
And then came the sunset. The sky turned shades of pink and orange, setting the stage for one of the most breathtaking first dances I’ve ever photographed. Clemmie and Tucker swayed together as the colors deepened over the mountains, their guests watching on, glasses raised in celebration. It was one of those moments you wish you could bottle up forever. As a wedding photographer, these are the kinds of scenes I live for—the real, unscripted magic of two people completely wrapped up in their love, in a place as stunning as Smith Cabin.
