MEET DALE AND CAROLINA
We’re a husband-and-wife team based in Aspen, but our story started long before Summit.
Dale grew up in the Pacific Northwest and has traveled to more than 80 countries, always with a camera in hand. Carolina grew up in Bariloche, Argentina, surrounded by lakes and mountains that first inspired her love of photography.
When our paths crossed in the Rockies, life shifted. Together, we built Summit, blending Dale’s eye for adventure and technical mastery in photography with Carolina’s warmth and intuition. Today, we create wedding films and photos that are intentional, effortless, and timeless. We love to connect with people so that their films feel as alive as they are. All humans are welcome here.
Today, Summit Photo & Film specializes in Aspen wedding photography, cinematic wedding videography, surprise proposals, corporate event photography, event videography, and portraits throughout Aspen, Snowmass, and the Colorado mountains. While weddings remain at the heart of what we do, we love documenting every meaningful chapter of our clients' lives.
Whether we're documenting a wedding weekend at Hotel Jerome, a proposal at Maroon Bells, or a corporate retreat in Aspen, our approach never changes: help people feel comfortable enough to be completely themselves.

Dale’s path began in the Pacific Northwest, where wild coastlines and mountain ranges sparked his love for adventure. He went on to travel to more than 80 countries, camera in hand, learning how to tell stories with both curiosity and the love of photography. Now based in Aspen, Dale brings that same perspective to weddings. Calm under pressure, technically masterful, and always focused on creating films and photos that feel timeless and true.
Today, Dale combines that global perspective with deep local knowledge of Aspen, helping couples and event clients navigate mountain weather, lighting, locations, and timelines while creating imagery that feels effortless and authentic.
Dale is also the founder of Aspen Workflow Company, helping owner-led businesses improve email, follow-up, reporting, content, and other essential workflows through practical AI and automation.

Carolina grew up in Bariloche, Argentina, surrounded by lakes and mountains that shaped her creative eye. For her, photography has always been about more than how a moment looks, it’s about how it feels. She brings warmth and intuition to every wedding, making couples feel comfortable, seen, and cared for. Her quiet strength and people-centered approach balance Dale’s adventurous edge, creating a partnership rooted in both art and connection.
Whether she's helping calm wedding-day nerves, guiding portrait sessions, or welcoming guests at a corporate event, Carolina's warmth helps people feel relaxed in front of the camera.

Although we're best known for luxury weddings in Aspen, our work extends well beyond the wedding day.
We photograph surprise proposals, engagement sessions, family portraits, corporate retreats, nonprofit galas, conferences, and private celebrations throughout the Roaring Fork Valley. Many of our wedding couples return to us years later for family portraits and milestone events, and we consider that one of the greatest compliments we can receive.
