Alexis & Stuart’s Aspen Meadows Resort Wedding: Weather Luck, Killer Dance Moves, and an Epic Second Line

This wedding had it all. The kind of forecast that makes you think uh oh… but then the clouds held off like they knew what was at stake. So Alexis and Stuart’s day at Aspen Meadows Resort was one for the books. We started off with a welcome dinner at the Caribou Club, which, if you haven’t been, is like this cozy, members only hideaway tucked right into downtown Aspen. From there, the wedding itself unfolded at Anderson Park, with Aspen’s classic mix of modern design, mountain views, and just the right amount of Colorado magic, making it one of the top Aspen wedding venues. The rain? It held off at all the right times. In fact, we only got a few sprinkles during couples portraits, and honestly, it kind of made them better.

The vibe all day was joyful and personal. To start, the first look by the pond was one of my favorite moments, just the two of them, reading private vows with their reflections in the water, calm and focused before the celebration kicked off. Then, the ceremony followed, and after the “I do’s,” a second line band led the whole crew from the ceremony site to the reception. At that point, it felt like we were in New Orleans for a second, the kind of moment where everyone’s smiling and dancing and fully in it.

Moments That Made the Day Unforgettable

At the reception, Alexis completely surprised Stuart with a choreographed dance she did with her bridesmaids. Naturally, he was shocked and so impressed. After that, they added in a birthday cake moment for Stuart’s dad following the cake cutting, and the whole night just felt like one big celebration of love and family.

And let’s talk about the party. Their friend flew in from Los Angeles to DJ, and the dance floor under the stars was pure joy. As the night went on, people let loose in the best way, and later in the night, things took a wild and hilarious turn with a mini champagne spraying moment that felt like something out of Cloud Nine après ski, but with a more refined, mountain chic twist.
