Aspen Colorado Wedding | Alex + Lauren | Summit Photo & Film

Lauren and Alex’s Aspen Colorado wedding in October was the kind of day that reminds you why fall in the mountains is hard to beat. With golden aspens at their peak, a private riverside setting in Woody Creek, and a full weekend energy from start to finish, everything about their celebration felt intentional, relaxed, and completely them.

Aspen Colorado Wedding in Peak Fall Color

Some wedding days just hit differently, and Lauren and Alex’s Aspen Colorado wedding in October was one for the books.

They chose to celebrate at a stunning private home along the Roaring Fork River, and it was the perfect setting. With fall colors at their peak, golden leaves surrounded everything. Meanwhile, the river added a peaceful, almost cinematic backdrop to the entire day.

Before heading to the venue, they got ready at Hotel Jerome, a spot that always brings a touch of classic Aspen charm. The morning was filled with excitement, a few happy tears, and even some dance moves in between. Because why not?

Once they were dressed and ready, we headed to Snowmass for a couple’s session among the fiery aspen trees. These two are just so natural together. They were laughing, holding hands, and sneaking little glances at each other. As a result, every moment felt effortless to capture.

If you’re exploring locations for your own celebration, this is exactly why couples are drawn to the area. There’s a mix of private estates, mountain venues, and riverside settings that make every Aspen Colorado wedding feel unique, especially when you start exploring some of the best places to get married in Aspen

A Riverside Ceremony and Unforgettable Energy

By the time we arrived at the ceremony, the sun was starting to dip. As a result, it cast the most incredible glow over the river.

Lauren and Alex stood surrounded by family and friends, framed by golden trees, and delivered some of the best vows I’ve ever heard. There was a perfect balance of deep emotion and inside jokes. Because of that, everyone was either tearing up or laughing, or both.

As a wedding videographer, moments like these are everything. They are authentic, heartfelt, and full of meaning. Capturing their voices, the way they looked at each other, and even the sound of the river in the background brought their story together in a way that felt completely them. It is exactly why I love wedding videography so much. It preserves moments in a way that goes beyond still images.

After the ceremony, the celebration shifted into dinner, toasts, and a dance floor that stayed packed all night. Watching Lauren and Alex soak in every second was a reminder of why I do what I do.

Their wedding wasn’t just beautiful. It was real, full of genuine connection, and a perfect reflection of who they are as a couple.

If you’re dreaming of something similar, whether it’s an intimate private setting like this or a more modern, design-forward mountain venue

October in Aspen truly delivers something special. Some couples also lean toward a more walkable, in-town experience, like a boutique downtown hotel setting which brings a completely different, but equally memorable, feel to the weekend.
